NEW LOOK PREMISES REFLECT MOSCA DIRECT’S SUCCESS

Strapping specialist Mosca Direct has celebrated the completion of the expansion and refurbishment of its head office in Cotgrave, Nottingham with a special open day for key contacts, suppliers and colleagues from around Europe.

The event also provided the opportunity to mark the 50th anniversary of parent company Mosca GmbH, with CEO Timo Mosca attending to officially open the new-look premises.

Since its establishment in 2000 as a dedicated sales and service facility for Mosca equipment throughout the UK and Ireland, Mosca Direct has enjoyed consistent growth and is now the third most successful business within the Mosca group.  As well as providing increased space to accommodate this continued growth, the Cotgrave facility has added a recreation area and garden for employees, along with a new training room and an enhanced open-plan layout that has brought together the sales office, engineering services and finance teams alongside the directors.

“We have created a more attractive, inspiring and productive place to work, where all staff have access to natural light in one big open-plan mezzanine environment,” explains Mosca Direct managing director Gaye Tate.

“At the same time, we have also invested in staff facilities with a new kitchen and dedicated recreation area with TVs and iPads.”

From an initial team of seven employees, Mosca Direct today has a staff of 31, serving over 350 customers in a variety of markets including graphics, corrugated, packaging, timber, and pharmaceutical.  Described by Gaye Tate as “the Rolls-Royce of the strapping world”, Mosca equipment enjoys a reputation for reliability, performance and innovation.

“We have had a number of technological firsts over the years,” she explains.  “We were the first company to cross strap, to eliminate gears chains and pulleys with brushless DC motors and to seal straps using a sonic wave rather than heat or friction.”

Mosca Direct is now well placed to build even further on its current success.

“Our new open-plan office will bring people with differing skill sets closer together for a healthy exchange of ideas and an overall more efficient operation, while the new staff facilities will ensure employees have the chance to relax away from their desks,” concludes Gaye Tate.

“It’s all part of creating the right environment to ensure we can continue to deliver the highest levels of customer service and support.

“We are very proud of what has been achieved and were delighted to welcome our guests to see these many enhancements themselves.”
