First Mosca symposium on the UATRI-2 XT for the corrugated cardboard industry

29.11.2017

On 29 and 30 November 2017, industry specialists from the areas of technical management and maintenance who already use the high-end strapping machine were able to obtain information on potential for optimization and experience it at the "live" machine training.

The first Mosca symposium focused exclusively on the UATRI-2 XT high-end strapping machine. Such machines in particular offer many additional potentials that go beyond instructing customers. These functions relate, for example, to interfaces which, in the corrugated board industry, are primarily intended to increase the throughput of the machine. These topics were taken up at the symposium and the customers were advised on unknown functions and their advantages. The focus of the versatile program was therefore to identify interfaces and to use them properly in order to fully exploit the potential of the high-end strapping machine. During the "live" machine training, Mosca employees from service and construction demonstrated how the strapping machine is operated in a particularly efficient and wear-resistant manner. The keywords "performance optimization" and "interface potentials" also played a major role. The focus on advice and openness scored among the participants: "The symposium closely linked practical and theoretical content. The Mosca technical staff (and the service technicians themselves) were present at the event, which allowed us to make contact with the relevant persons, "explains Arno Wessels, technical director at Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG.

Since a failure of the machine would slow down the entire production, the second day focused on the smooth and failure-free use of the UATRI-2 XT. As a technology leader with remote maintenance via VPN access, Mosca offers another option for increasing production security. "Especially in a high throughput area such as corrugated cardboard production, the machine has to work perfectly," explains Ninja Kübler, Technical Service at Mosca. "Through the remote maintenance concept we have developed, our TechSupport employees are able to connect through the machine's VPN access in case of an incident, quickly diagnose the malfunction, and fix the problem by operating the machine and uploading new programs via the Mosca Remote Service. "

All maintenance, technical training, installation and other services provided by Mosca have recently been standardized worldwide under the name "ONE Service". This is especially relevant for customers who use the UATRI-2 XT because the majority of them are based outside Germany.

In addition to the professional exchange, the Mosca customers used the two-day event with dinner together to get to know the experts for the respective area. "Thanks to the established network, customers now know exactly who they can turn to for which topic," explains Ninja Kübler. "This is especially important for us in the technical service, because we can act very quickly in case of problems."

"We got direct feedback on our questions and concerns. Our suggestions are very important to Mosca, that's something we've noticed, "explains Markus Scharff, Technical Manager at Packners GmbH. The customer suggestions flow directly into the planning of a further symposium for pallet packing presses in June 2018, so the symposium was in a way a test run in which customer feedback could be obtained for the planning and the further framework conditions as well as for the technical contents of the symposium.<textarea wrap="SOFT" rows="1" spellcheck="false" dir="ltr" style="height: auto; padding-right: 20px; -ms-overflow-x: auto; -ms-overflow-y: hidden; box-sizing: border-box; " id="contribute-target" class="goog-textarea" tabindex="0" name="edit-text"></textarea>
