Mosca Delivers Intralogistics Strapping Solutions at LogiMAT 2019.

29.01.2019

Leading Strapping Experts, Mosca, present the EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 KR-ZV at LogiMAT 2019, for securing products in transit. LogiMAT - the biggest intralogistics exhibition in Europe - offers Mosca the ideal opportunity to present its high-performance Industry 4.0 compatible strapping machines and conveyor technology, for easy integration into process lines.

The compact EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 KR-ZV has been designed for maximum efficiency and high performance, especially for strapping palletised products or containers with feet, such as dollies or wire mesh containers which require lower strap tension (max. 450 N).  Due to the lower strap tension and force-limited traversing units, the machine - which is supplied CE-compliant from the factory - does not require a safety enclosure. This significantly lowers the purchase price and means the operator is not required to leave the safety zone during machine operation enabling packages to be fed in faster if required. Integration into Industry 4.0 set-ups with a network connection allows the machine to be checked and controlled at any time from any location.  The EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 KR-ZV comes equipped with a standard-6 strap path and Mosca’s patented SoniXs ultrasonic sealing unit positioned on the side of the machine. This ensures protection against contamination by falling particles or dripping liquids and also allows a lower conveyor height, enabling the machine to strap pallets on the ground.  The Standard-6 strap path offers real value when it comes to maintenance; engineers can easily remove the strap path components without tools and replace them with standard spare parts – reducing down time and maintenance costs.  Mosca uses modular assembly for the construction of its different models of strapping machinery; many of its models comprise of the same basic components such as sealing units and motors.   Variations come by way of strap frames, enclosures or conveyor mechanisms.

Joining the product line-up at LogiMAT in Stuttgart is the EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6-H, which also comes equipped with the proven Standard-6 strap path. This horizontal strapping machine handles bulky and heavy packages with ease.  Its vertically movable frame straps products such as household goods and furniture at variable heights for secure transportation. The touch panel enables operators to program and recall up to 10 strapping routines. With up to 180 triple strap cycles per hour, the EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6-H is ideal for large operations with high-volume production. Wear-free drives combined with the SoniXs sealing unit ensure maximum machine up time and performance consistency.

Easy integration with open interfaces and Mosca conveyor technology

Open interfaces are standard on Mosca strapping machines – allowing them to be integrated into fully-automated production lines and operated via a central control station.  Operators can also select pre-programmed strapping configurations. At LogiMAT, Mosca will demonstrate how machines from the EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 series work as part of a line, utilising Mosca's own conveyor technology.  A roller conveyor transports packages in and out of the EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6.  The EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6-H and EVOLUTION SoniXs MS-6 KR-ZV models on display are connected via plastic chain conveyors.  Along with the conveyor technologies developed by Mosca, the machines can also be integrated into lines in combination with other standard conveyor technology.
