Corrugated board & paper
OEM | paper production | cut-size paper | hygiene article processing | corrugated board production | cardboard processing
The corrugated cardboard industry places special demands on strapping: the sensitive products must not be damaged during the packaging process, but must still be reliably bundled or secured for transportation.
This is why we treat the sensitive products with particular care: many of our machines allow the necessary strap tension to be set individually, and additional edge protection is also used as required. With our inline technology, our machines strap the products "along the flute". This prevents damage to the structure of the corrugated cardboard that could be caused by the strapping.

Complex corrugated cardboard strapping
We offer three machine types in the field of fully automatic solutions for strapping complex corrugated cardboard products. All of them meet the requirements of gentle, fast and yet reliable strapping:

UCB
The UCB is suitable as a cross strapping machine for the corrugated board industry. The CE-compliant machine is operated manually and straps complex 4- and 6-point folding boxes securely. Especially for sensitive products such as high-gloss prints, the machine can now be extended to include an integrated banding machine - creating a combination of strapping and banding technology in one and the same machine.

MCB-2 XT
Thanks to innovative motor technology and a simplified user interface, the MCB-2 XT straps corrugated board particularly gently along the flute so that no damage is caused to the corrugated structure of the products. With two units arranged in parallel, the high-performance machine can double strap up to 27 packages per minute and thus process the growing production output of the folder gluer.

SoniXs UATRI-2 XT
On the SoniXs UATRI-2 XT , the two sealing units are designed as mirror-image stitching units. This allows the machine to strap narrower products twice. Driven straps on the sealing unit facilitate the strapping of shorter products up to 160 mm. This means that the new SoniXs UATRI-2 XT is also suitable for very small products. High-end versions offer additional data interfaces for a fully automatic setup.

Load Securing
Pallet strapping systems are used to secure corrugated cardboard stacks or bundles for transportation. Depending on the application, these can be extended with options to adapt the performance to the extensive requirements.
Extensive and powerful options
+ ELECTRICAL EDGE PROTECTION TOP AND BOTTOM
The electric edge protector positions corrugated cardboard blanks precisely and quickly to protect sensitive loads such as stacks of corrugated cardboard or paper products from being cut by strapping.
+ HIGH-SPEED PACKAGE
The combination of high-speed drive, faster belt infeed, high-speed belt guide tongue and SoniXs enables a significant increase in the number of strapped pallets per hour.
+ BELT WELDING DEVICE
Thanks to the strap welding device with split dispenser, the operator no longer has to enter the safety area of the machine when changing the strapping, as the strap roll change takes place outside. The device is quick and easy to operate and saves both time and money: thanks to endless operation, there is no leftover strap, so no material is wasted.
+ PRESS PRINT
Corrugated cardboard products are pressed before strapping. This ensures optimum load securing and reduces the loading volume. The pressing pressure can optionally be increased to 5 tons.
+ CONFIGURABLE STRAPPING PROGRAMS
Minimal maintenance is required as no residues are created during the sealing process. Our tool-less sealing head can be disassembled in 30 seconds allowing for quick and easy maintenance access.
+ LIFTING TURNSTILE OR TURNTABLE
Switch between PP, PET and Paper strap when needed. (Minor adjustments and part change may be required.)
+ CENTERING UNIT INTEGRATED OR UPSTREAM
As there is no significant heating during welding using SoniXs technology, there is no risk of injury. Furthermore, there is no fire risk for highly inflammable goods.
