Load Securing

The reliable securing of transported goods is of central importance across all industries: for the corrugated cardboard industry as well as for the transportation of so-called "white goods" such as washing machines or dishwashers, or even for heavy packages in the construction industry such as bricks or tiles. After all, if you do not secure your load or goods sufficiently during transportation, this can have serious consequences - in addition to damage to your items, inadequate securing can result in damage to the vehicle or even personal injury. Your goods must be secured to the load surface using securing devices such as tension belts, nets or anti-slip mats so that they are adequately secured during transportation against physical movement forces, such as those that occur during braking, on bends or on uneven roads.

Strapping for more safety

By securing individual goods or packages on pallets with strapping, you increase safety during transport and minimize the risk of consequential damage. The strapping makes your load more stable and easier to secure on the loading area. Additional securing with strapping also benefits you with regard to § 412 I 1 HGB (German Commercial Code): According to this, a sender must load, stow, secure and unload his goods safely for transportation, unless the circumstances or customary practice dictate otherwise. Strapping can simplify the handling of your goods in the long term, especially when loading and unloading.

Stretch wrapping for additional product protection

While strapping creates a stable and reliable product bond for palletized goods, stretch wrapping offers additional product protection by applying a thin layer of film. The goods are not damaged by moisture, dust or dirt during transportation and reach their destination in top quality.

Prevention is better than harm

VDI guideline 2700 describes "Load securing on road vehicles". Its rules have been regarded for years as the basic work on load securing in road traffic. Section 22 of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) also requires proper stowage of the load during transportation. The ultimate responsibility lies with the driver or the person who has loaded the vehicle. The owner is also jointly responsible. Violations can be punished as an administrative offense during a traffic check or in the event of an accident with property damage - in the event of personal injury due to inadequate load securing, there is even a risk of severe fines or imprisonment.
