Performance meets digitalization: Mosca presents SoniXs MCB-3 and SoniXs MP-7 at Fachpack 2025

At this year's Fachpack from September 23 to 25, Mosca GmbH will be presenting several new strapping solutions at its stand 351 in hall 3C. With the SoniXs MCB-3, the company is expanding its inline portfolio with a particularly high-performance machine. The SoniXs MP-7 also brings a new control system and the option of digitalization to the tried-and-tested MP machine series.

In keeping with the Fachpack trade fair theme of "Transition in Packaging", Mosca GmbH 's stand will focus in particular on solutions relating to digitalization and sustainability. With the SoniXs MCB-3 and SoniXs MP-7, the company is expanding its strapping portfolio with two machines that work with the energy-efficient SoniXs as standard and are designed for cloud and automation connectivity. A shredder clearly demonstrates how used strapping can be processed for recycling, illustrating Mosca's commitment to the circular economy.

Performance and digitalization for inline strapping

The new SoniXs MCB-3 strapping machine, which is celebrating its launch at Fachpack, is a further development of the MCB-2 and the UATRI-2xt and sets new standards in terms of speed, availability and future orientation in Mosca's inline portfolio. It can be equipped with either a single or a high-speed double pusher system and can strap up to 36 stacks of packages per minute. The MCB-3 can process stacks up to 400 mm high - an increase of 12.5 percent. This allows users to secure more products per stack for transportation and meets even the highest requirements of the corrugated board industry. 


The SoniXs MCB-3 is the first inline machine to be equipped with Mosca's SoniXs as standard - which not only makes it more energy-efficient, but also increases its availability. Depending on requirements, customers can choose between one or two strapping units: The double-head design enables seamless changeover to the second unit during maintenance to minimize downtime. The consumables can be changed on the main operating side to make the strapping change process time-efficient and ergonomic.


With the SoniXs MCB-3, Mosca also relies on digitalization for even greater efficiency and less downtime: it stores and analyses all data from the machine and upstream and downstream components around the clock. This enables the SoniXs MCB-3 to detect potential problems at an early stage. For example, if the temperature of a component rises abnormally, the machine automatically sends a warning. In future, these proactive messages will also be sent directly to the service department so that spare parts can be ordered or technicians dispatched in good time.

User-friendly WebHMI for cloud connection


Data also plays an important role in the SoniXs MP-7: the new generation of the tried-and-tested MP machine series stands out from its predecessor model, particularly in terms of operation and IoT capability. In contrast to the MP-6, the new machine does not rely on a circuit board control, but on a computer-based PLC - thus enabling the digitalization and optimization of operation. In addition to the control panel (ECOB), the machine is equipped with a user-friendly WebHMI (Web Human Machine Interface) as standard, which allows the user to view performance-related key figures and machine settings. 


Like its predecessor, the SoniXs MP-7 is available in several versions - automatic as a table-top version or fully automatic as a belt or roller version. The automatic basic machine in the tabletop version is now also equipped with new functionalities such as a signal light, strap end monitoring and interface as standard. With up to 58 strappings per minute, the machine is designed for medium to high production requirements in a wide range of industries from corrugated board to logistics.

Focus on the future


With the Saturn S6 , Mosca will also be showcasing a proven solution from the stretch wrapping portfolio of Mosca Movitec at its stand at Fachpack. The ring wrapper can fully automatically wrap up to 120 pallets per hour - if required, with additional lidding film for greater protection against environmental influences. By pre-stretching the film by up to 300 percent (optionally variable up to 400 percent), the Saturn S6 works as resource-efficiently as possible.


The stand will be rounded off by Mosca's hand strapping tools and a more unusual addition - a shredder. In this way, the company aims to raise awareness of one of its core projects among visitors to the stand: With the "Loop That!" project, Mosca is aiming to establish a circular economy for strapping. The shredder at the stand shreds the strapping used by the manual strapping tools live so that it can be mechanically recycled and fed into new strapping. "Our goal is to recycle more than our own materials. In the long term, we are aiming for industry-wide collaboration and a circular economy that makes strapping even more sustainable," emphasizes Product Manager Marketing Alex Jesser from Mosca. "It's no coincidence that all of our solutions on show at Fachpack focus on sustainability and digitalization: a forward-looking approach is more important than ever for the packaging industry, especially in turbulent times. We are therefore all the more looking forward to finding out from trade fair visitors what they think about these topics and what they need at the end of the packaging line."
