Mosca GmbH presents the SoniXs P7-Connect, the next generation of its strapping machines for fully automatic operation. The new machine is the successor to the SoniXs MP-6 with extended functional options.

The SoniXs P7-Connect marks the new benchmark in the entry-level segment of automated strapping. The machine was developed specifically for seamless integration into fully automated production lines. It is a strapping machine based on the latest technology for sealing cartons or bundling products in a production line. It not only offers customers the proven Mosca, but also consistently focuses on connectivity and Industry 4.0 capability with a state-of-the-art control system.

The highlights of the SoniXs P7-Connect

"With the SoniXs P7-Connect, we are offering our customers the ideal and future-oriented entry into the world of fully automated and digitalized strapping," explains Andreas Ding, Senior Innovation Manager Sales at Mosca. What does that mean in concrete terms?

The machine is characterized by three key features that set it apart from its predecessor, the MP-6, and other machines in the market segment:

On the one hand, it offers greater functionality, increased modularity and maximum process reliability thanks to the switch from circuit board to intelligent control. In terms of control technology, it is based on the SoniXs TR-Connect and is functionally similar to it, but at a much more attractive price.

The SoniXs P7-Connect is network-compatible and enables data to be transferred directly to the cloud via mobile communications. From there, the recorded information can be integrated into ERP systems, for example, for further use.

The WebHMI is available to the customer as standard for intuitive operation. With an optional WLAN module, this can be accessed even faster and more flexibly. Thanks to the new interface options and extended access via the WebHMI, the customer can make significantly more comprehensive settings and configure interfaces individually. The IoT capability also ensures a high level of data transparency and improves availability - even beyond the actual production site.

The proven user-friendliness is also retained in the new generation: Among other things, the practical bobbin pusher for easy material access is still integrated, as is the automatic threading process, which further increases ease of use.

Technical specifications and variants

At the heart of the SoniXs P7-Connect is the proven and highly efficient SoniXs 7 SoniXs unit. The energy-efficient SoniXs ultrasonic sealing technology is one of Mosca 's core competencies and therefore enhances the quality and performance of the strapping process.

To ensure maximum flexibility, the machine supports PP in widths of 5, 8, 9 or 12 mm. The SoniXs P7-Connect will be available in the standard frame sizes 600x600 mm, 800x600 mm and 1000x800 mm.

Integration into automated lines is made possible by the driven transport tables (belt or roller version), which are designed for automated product feeding. The machine has all the necessary interfaces, including the highly flexible OPC UA interface, to ensure smooth machine and system communication and enable customers to use data-based solutions.

With the launch of the SoniXs P7-Connect, Mosca is underlining its role as an innovation leader. "We are providing our customers with technologies that already meet the market's future digitalization requirements," says Andreas Ding.
