Mosca GmbH wins the BUSINESS INNOVATOR Award 2025

Mosca impressed the jury with its holistic approach to innovation, which combines internal efficiency, customer-oriented service and digital transparency in the logistics chain. The specialist for holistic End-of-Line was recognized for its specially developed AI solution for production optimization, the innovative service provided by the TechCenter and the pioneering Digital Load Pass, which addresses the upcoming regulation of the "Digital Product Pass".

Smart sequencing: 20 percent shorter set-up times thanks to AI

Mosca's multi-award-winning AI solution is revolutionizing order processing in production. Using smart sequencing, the artificial intelligence dynamically optimizes the sequence of the numerous production orders by intelligently weighing up critical factors such as set-up time, delay and priority. The result: a 20% reduction in set-up times for around 800 prioritized production orders every day.

"Our AI solution is a decisive lever on the way to flexible, data-driven production," explains Amelie Münch, Innovation and Technology Management employee at Mosca GmbH. "Winning the BUSINESS INNOVATOR Award confirms that we are setting the right priorities with this strategic investment."

Customer focus at the Mosca TechCenter

The innovative service approach of the Mosca TechCenter at the headquarters in Waldbrunn also received an award. There, customers can test their transport safety concepts under realistic conditions on special test benches (vibrations, inclinations, braking manoeuvres) and optimize them based on data. "The TechCenter enables us to work with customers to identify untapped optimization potential," says Amélie Münch.

Digital Load Pass: safety and sustainability made transparent

Another excellent innovation is the Digital Load Pass, a label with a QR code that is attached directly to the load unit. It allows relevant data to be retrieved quickly and easily via a web-based page - without the need for a special app.

The Load Pass increases safety and transparency in the logistics chain. It provides detailed information on the packaging material used and, if the load unit was previously tested in the TechCenter , a direct link to the test report. This is particularly relevant for authorities, as compliance with regulations can be proven in the event of damage. In the future, the carbon footprint of the respective loading unit will also be integrated, which offers real added value for companies' sustainability reporting.

The consistent use of automation and AI is now opening up new opportunities for Mosca to make processes more efficient and resource-saving.
