EU has published delegated act!
On February 25, 2026, the European Commission adopted the delegated act that officially PPWR strapping bands and pallet wraps from the 100% reuse requirement under the PPWR .
The EU thus confirms that complete reuse of these safety elements would not be technically or economically realistic and would have led to disproportionately high adaptation costs.
We very much welcome the exemption from the regulation that is now in force, as it offers us and our customers planning security and a clear regulatory framework that combines ambitious circular economy goals with operational feasibility.
