2025 Project Competition
The 2025 Project Competition recognizes the diverse contributions made by schools, kindergartens, and community organizations in the region. The awards went to projects that use creative ideas, sustainable approaches, and a high degree of initiative to strengthen the community and improve quality of life or the environment. The winning projects impressively demonstrate how much can be achieved through solidarity, a sense of responsibility, and innovative concepts—whether in the social, environmental, or athletic spheres.
The following projects can look forward to financial support:
Place 1
Dedicated students from the Eberbach Secondary School aim to establish a village community store in Schollbrunn (Waldbrunn) that provides local access to supplies, particularly for older people and those with limited mobility. At the same time, the store serves as a social gathering place where community activities, such as a café, take place. With the student-run business already established, fixed opening hours, and several days of operation already under its belt, the project stands as a successful example of active engagement and sustainable village development.
Place 2–8
The Mosbach Anglers' Association is actively committed to the ecological restoration of the Elz River. Through the reintroduction of the European grayling, they aim to enhance the river's biodiversity and sustainably increase the ecosystem's resilience.
The Johannes Diakonie's "Wald und Wiesenwichtel" nature kindergartenis planning to build a sustainable fire and cooking area using natural materials. The goal is to give children hands-on experience with food and its origins, while also helping them understand ecological cycles.
The FG Heeschter Berkediebe Buchen dance troupe needs new dance costumes, as their current outfits are quite worn out and no longer complete. Through their independent involvement in events and activities, the group demonstrates a strong commitment to the club and its cultural work.
The SV Zwingenberg sports club Zwingenberg a digital platform that combines fitness activities with community engagement. The plan includes training videos as well as profiles of members and volunteers, with the aim of promoting both physical activity and a sense of appreciation within the club.
Due to the growing number of youth teams, the FSV Waldbrunn club needs additional training facilities. Purchasing additional small-field goals will allow the club to improve its training infrastructure and implement modern training methods.
The Winterhauch School Waldbrunn is creating a school garden as a space for learning and hands-on experience for children. Through fruit trees, a potato patch, and raised beds, the school aims to foster environmental awareness and impart practical knowledge about nature and nutrition in a sustainable way.
The Hetzbach Swimming Pool Initiative has been working for many years to preserve and improve the local swimming pool. A planned sunshade for the children’s pool is intended to enhance the safety and comfort of the youngest visitors in particular.
