Trainee projects
in the 2nd year of training
Since 2024, our trainees have also had the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and develop their own projects in their second year of training. These projects focus on the topic of sustainability and offer trainees the chance to research and implement innovative solutions for environmentally friendly practices.

Providing a refuge for birds and insects
In the fall of 2023, the trainees met to brainstorm ideas for the projects in 2024 and worked intensively on the topic of sustainability at Mosca . This resulted in numerous creative ideas. In addition to sustainability, the social aspect was also taken into account in some projects. Johannes-Diakonie was cordially invited to participate in these projects.
The first group was responsible for the birds that live around the Mosca company. To avoid wasting resources, wood from old pallets was used. The boxes were also coated with environmentally friendly oils so that they would last longer.
At the beginning of March, the group installed a total of four nesting boxes on the factory premises.
