Difference between strapping and stretch wrapping
Strapping and stretch film have different properties and have their individual advantages as packaging solutions. In some cases, they are competing methods, but often a combination of both is the optimal solution. Stretch film is particularly suitable for lighter units with unstable stacks and uneven formats, while also providing protection against dust and moisture. Strapping tape is predestined for heavy loads, creates a bond between product and pallet, stabilizes overhanging goods and provides stability for long transport distances and rough handling. In applications that require the properties of both materials, both strapping and wrapping are often used.
