Phoenix Healthcare Reaffirms Trust in Mosca Strapping Technology

A leading pharmaceutical company has once again demonstrated its confidence in Mosca strapping technology by purchasing two of the company’s new state-of-the-art Evolution SoniXs TR-6 machines. Phoenix Healthcare, which distributes pharmaceuticals to GPs, hospitals and pharmacies, is using the machines to strap plastic tote boxes for distribution from the warehouse at the Runcorn factory site.

The Mosca Evolution SoniXs TR-6 machines join a number of other Mosca strapping machines already installed at Phoenix Healthcare’s 14 locations around the UK. These help Phoenix maintain high productivity levels, because of the superior quality, reliability and comprehensive service support on offer from Mosca. 

The Evolution SoniXs TR-6 is a fully-automatic strapping machine that is particularly well-suited to tote strapping at the Phoenix Healthcare site thanks to its speed and precision.

The TR-6 uses Mosca’s market-leading patented ultrasonic sealing system, SoniXs,  to produce a consistent seal that is far stronger and more tear-resistant than traditional heat seal methods and makes it ideal for the pharmaceutical industry where security considerations are paramount.  In addition, a SoniXs seal leaves a distinctive imprint the on the strap weld which works as a further deterrent against tampering and theft, as it is unique to an ultrasonic weld.

Other benefits of the Mosca Evolution SoniXs TR-6 include an electronic calibration feature, which enables straightforward integration into most production lines. Easy accessibility and tool-free disassembly of the strap way components ensure simple maintenance and troubleshooting while the digital display on its control panel, with selector switch for single, double, or multiple strapping, guarantees easy and straightforward operation.  In addition, the machinery offers extremely low energy consumption and comes with a CE marking and conformity declaration as standard.
