New Technical Project Managers for Mosca UK

Mosca Direct Ltd are delighted to announce the expansion of its technical support team with the promotion of two of its long-serving engineers to the role of Technical Project Manager.  Mark Hadfield & Daniel Benson, who this year celebrate 17 years & 11 years with Mosca respectively, began working their new roles in Q2 of this year.

The purpose of this role is to assist with technical queries as well as to provide support and knowledge, especially with Mosca’s bespoke system solutions, which has been an area of significant growth for Mosca Direct.  With their years of experience, the Technical Project Managers are able to provide advice on machine solutions and with a full assessment of the whole of the customer’s site, help to identify the most productive positioning of a machine achieving maximum cost and time efficiencies once installed.

Mark and Daniel are splitting their time between site visits and office time at the UK headquarters in Nottingham, allowing them to focus on the administrative element of their roles and have touch-base meetings with Engineering Operations Director, Julie Walton.  Since starting their new jobs, they have taken part in an intensive CAD training course and will be undertaking CE training in early 2018.  They have attended technical meetings at Mosca headquarters in Germany and this will become a regular occurrence, supporting them in increasing their technical knowledge of both old and new machines.

Since Mosca Direct introduced the role of Technical Project Manager, the business has seen a positive impact in achieving the best possible solution to meet customer needs and has received encouraging feedback.  Julie Walton, comments: “I feel very positive about Mark and Daniel in their new roles.  They are very experienced and knowledgeable engineers and are a real asset to our business.  We’ve had a great response from our customers and from our sales team, who value their input early on in the sales process.”

The positions they left behind have already been backfilled by two electrical engineers who are currently training under the guidance of Mosca’s other engineers. It takes 6-8 months to get to a level where they are confident and knowledgeable enough across the range of Mosca machines to attend customer sites alone.

Looking forward, Daniel and Mark will come off the tools altogether and will take part in more site visits, especially post-installation to check the machines are performing as the customer expects.  This is all part of Mosca Direct’s unwavering commitment to ensuring it stays ahead of competitors and provides a level of service which matches the quality of its products.
